Here at House, we are doing what we can to do good by our planet. The production industry can often be wasteful and we want make it more accessible for our team, producers and our clients to have smart solutions to help curb our impact when working out of our studios. In our research, we’ve found fit brands that align with our goal to keep our House sustainable, low impact and always exploring unique ways to give back. Our team has come up with creative solutions to offer easy avenues for art and wardrobe departments to make donations without making an extra trip… We hate wasting food and whenever possible, we’ll repurpose the use of leftovers from food shoots or crafty to help our neighborhood food banks and shelters. The list goes on and welcome your ideas!

Drinking Water Better

When ordering catering/crafty with our team we default to boxed water and each studio comes with a purified water cooler. While we may not be in an office, we can guarantee you’ll run into a zesty water cooler conversation. ;-)

BOXED WATER (default)

By stocking Boxed Water instead of plastic bottled water, we’ve chosen a product that produces 64% fewer carbon emissions and is 26x more efficient to transport. Boxed water is 92% plant based.

Remember to recycle your 100% recyclable boxes when you’re done!

ALUMINUM TAKE-AWAYS

If you prefer no boxes, we can provide HOUSE Aluminum Bottles to fill and refill at the studio AND everyone from your shoot gets to take one home. Ask about this option at time of booking and we will be even more sustainable by giving you something you can reuse again and again. ($1 per person surcharge)

No longer the cheap stuff. We’ve got your back-end covered and thinking of others while we do it.

Donation Station

Tired of figuring out what to do with production leftovers? We are too, we’ve collected more Christmas balls from holiday shoots than we can count. But we are partnering with our favorite non-profits to donate leftovers from shoots. Seamless paper to elementary schools, wardrobe goes to Mary’s Place, soon to expire food goes to shelters, we’ve had fireplaces turn into dog houses and so much more. When you leave it all behind, we find a home for it. Just talk to our studio team members to coordinate what you’ll leave behind so we don’t think your just trashy and didn’t clean up. ;-)
